Who Are We?
We are mostly me, William Torrey [view pic], known in many online forums as 'watorrey' and in Usenet newsgroups as 'The Stare'. When a subject says 'we', 'our', or 'us', it is referring to the many generous people who have either made a monetary donation, contributed ideas, subject matter for pages, or any combination these.
What Is the Goal?
The goal is to become a web site containing valuable information that will help many
people, both novice and experienced. Current plans for individual sections may be found near the bottom of most main
section link menus.
When Did This Begin?
21 October 2004 is the anniversary of this web site. The first major file content was
uploaded on 26 Oct 2004.
Where Are We Located?
William lives in the Rochester, New York, USA area. Contributors are from all over the
world. The country of origin will be noted in the contributor listing when the information is available. The server
is currently located somewhere on the west coast of the US and records time in PST (UTC -8).
Why Is This Here?
This started because I voluntarily choose to find server space for The Ancient
Mediterranean mod files that I had invested a couple of months working on. I discovered that a domain could be
registered and server space had for the same price as just online storage.
